Best Beaches on Oahu

Surrounding by the pacific ocean and with the breezy tropical climate, Oahu offers some of the best beaches in the world. The family will find Kahala beach an excellent area for playing fetch with the dog, sunbathing or enjoying a picnic lunch on a few of the tables beside the barbecue grills. Parkings is available along among the streets and you will find the beach access park in the Kahala Beach Park parking lot. Once there, you can use the barbeques, or pathways, picnic tables together with other facilities. You can also bring your own snorkeling equipment or rent it there. There are also many weddings that take place here.

Makaha Beach Wedding

Hanauma Bay is another popular spot to see Hawaii up close in this nature preserve that is protected. Since the kids go mad for camping out on the beach, pack those tents and bust out the hibachi.

Sandy Beach Kiss

Bellows Field Beach Park is a campsite on Oahu, with 50 campsites. The drive to Bellows can be described as majestic - passing by the tip of the island by world renowned Hanauma Bay Scenic Overlook, Sandy Beach and The Spouting Horn. Also called Break Neck Beach, water activities at Sandy's are not for the beginner nor the faint of heart. Sandy's has a appeal for the family, whether you like basking or watching people on the sand, fishing, wave pools or kites. Just remember to be tremendously cautious around this water and watch for vicious riptides. Bathrooms, showers and parking lots are also accessible at this beach park. And remember that this is a great place to take those post wedding photos.

Kahala Beach Wedding Couple

Home to many weddings, birthday parties with bouncing houses, weekending families who set up massive canopies and barbeques, Ala Moana Beach Park is huge, fun, and ideally located smack in the center of Honolulu. Take your stroller for a jog, play shore volleyball or allow the children frolic. Families can take part in the annual Dragon Boat Festival, Lantern Floating Ceremony and several other festivals held at Ala Moana Beach Park each year. Plenty of parking can nonetheless fill up on busy times and on weekends. Open for the public and very safe, this Lagoon behind this Hilton Hawaiian Village has resident fish, lifeguards in service and plenty of fun on the premises. Parents can settle-back and watch from the man made island or take the household a few minutes away to the real beach, which comprises many more rocks, but nicer sand. Dragon boats, stand-up paddle boarders, surfers, outrigger canoes and dinner cruises all leave from this shore. And if your family doesn't mind driving about a hour to this west side of Oahu, There is always sunny Makaha Beach as well.
